Riding with HEART Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part of the Riding with HEART Team. The Riding with HEART Therapeutic Riding Program would not survive without the dedication of individuals who give of their time so generously.
Volunteers assist riders with disabilities by leading horses during lessons, side walking to support riders, grooming and tacking up horses. Volunteers also have the opportunity to take part in varied barn chores and assisting with fundraising events. We are grateful to every volunteer for the gift of their time.
Fundraising Star - Toni Castellani
Toni surprised the RWH staff with a wonderful gift of freeze-proof water buckets for all of our horses! Toni set up a Facebook campaign to cover the cost of these buckets that will save our staff countless hours of time and aggravation preventing and removing ice from all of the buckets in the winter months.
Our horses will be happier and healthier!
Thank You Toni!
Volunteer of the Year 2019
Each year Riding with HEART recognizes a volunteer who is particularly dedicated to our program with the number of hours they share with us and their hard work while they are here.
Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Carmen Stangota (shown here with Horse of the Year Annie).
Carmen started at Riding with HEART as a student in 2012 and has gone on to be one of our most dedicated and capable volunteers.
Girl Scout Georgia Tynan
Thank you to Georgia Tynan, Girl Scout Troop 21321 for donating the cat houses she made to earn her Bronze Award.
Now Riding with HEART's cats have cozy homes for cold weather.
